Joann: Unexpected

Joann wanted to go on a trip. By mistake I sent her by herself; I'd actually planned on having Holly go with her, but oh, well. She went alone and had quite the adventure. She landed in Champs des Sim and looked around her "base camp", which looks a lot nicer than the base camp in Egypt.

She checked the adventure board, and then headed out to see a shopkeeper about...something.

He said that he'd lost "something" at the Celtic ruins and asked Joann to go out and find it. Mind you, he didn't tell her either what it was or where it was so she was basically flying blind. She jumped in a rickety car and headed to the ruins.

Her way was blocked by a big pile of rock, so Joann took out her pick-ax, which apparently she carries everywhere, and went to work.

Oh, no! Scorpions again! I didn't know scorpions lived in France. You learn something new everyday!

Pulling a statue

Joann got to sleep in a cool underground maze!

Anyway, so Joann did a whole bunch of stuff and found a lot of gold, and nectar, and precious metals and stuff like that. She never found the shopkeeper's mysterious thing and it was the third day of her vacation so she gave up.

She had delicious ratatouille for dinner, and then sat in a tiny park and played chess with herself. Finally, she sat on a little bench and read about fashion and style - what better place than France?

At midnight, her plane headed back to Sunset Valley.
