New Digs

The Sullivan Sims moved in together after they returned from working as teachers in a foreign country. Ready to start a new life, but not quite ready to start completely afresh, they agreed to move in together until everyone got on their own feet.

With a couple of miracles and very careful saving (also known as the "motherlode" cheat) they managed to afford a house with enough room for them all.

It's a pretty cool set-up - the house even has a tiny little courtyard right in the middle. You can see the glass walls around it. There's no car in the garage yet, and only two bathrooms, but that's an easy expansion.

Here's a view of the bedrooms. Joe and Erin, as the only couple in the house, use the bedroom with the double bed; everyone else has a single bed. The kitchen is already fitted out with the latest and most expensive equipment, including a coffee maker that makes things like banana mochas with chocolate sprinkles. See the courtyard? Isn't it just darling? (You can also see Tegan napping on Tara's bed. She didn't sleep much thanks to Joe burning their dinner and everyone having to fend for themselves with stuff like bread and jam, or canned soup.)

Here's the front of the house. You can see the TV area and the reading/conversation area, as well as a tiny glimpse of the pool. Tara is by the pool playing chess by herself, and Joe has taken out his guitar to play a little. He loves being outside, even if it's just the front yard of his house.

Living together is all about compromise, right? Well, Erin is the only Sim who stays home all day, so in the evening everyone else relaxes, while she cooks dinner.

Tegan and Joe were both playing video games to chill out from the stress of their jobs, but I guess Joe got tired of it. Peter and Noah are still in their ratty work clothes.

Erin ended up burning the mac and cheese pretty badly, and once again everyone had to fend for themselves before going to bed way too late. (The next morning she burned the waffles too. The girl seriously needs to learn to cook if she doesn't want her housemates to hate her.)
